Abstract/Description

Do your teams continuously improve their cross functional understanding and empathy? A practice recently employed by our teams has created a mutual understanding that I did not think possible before. In this session we will find people in the audience within different professions and roles within an organization and utilize this method to bring understanding forward. Over the last 12 months we have done a monthly cross functional lean coffee with the soul purpose of improving cross functional interactions. Whenever we do this we come away with action items and better mutual understanding about the difficulties and capabilities of each of our functions. Join us in a session followed by an analysis of the event. This is a simple and easy way to prevent cross functions from assigning blame to each other and otherwise destroying teamwork.
