[VLOG] What Is "Product" According To Scrum Guide 2020

May 23, 2021

Hey hey hey. What's good this week awesome people? I hope you had a great week. As for me I had the opportunity to learn the complexity of being a Product Owner from two experts in product development, Kai Stevens and Sjoerd Kranendonk this week. My biggest learning from them is realising that the effectiveness of Scrum in the organisation is understanding our definition of product. Hey we have to admit, Scrum is not a silver bullet, it was specifically designed for product development. After getting mentoring from them, I have just realised that many companies I work with just used Scrum in motion without understanding what product they're actually developing. Many of them just use it as a methodology for a more agile way of managing a project. And we know Scrum rarely works when it is  used from a project mindset. From Kai and Sjoerd I have learnt that our definition of product will affect the value we will reap from our product. Start with a product in mind. Here is my lesson in forms of video. I have several more videos coming up based on this topic. Stay tuned folks. So, what is your organisation definition of product?
