The Fastest Path to Hybrid Cloud

We introduced Dell Technologies Cloud at our flagship company event nearly a year ago. Since then we’ve had a steady drumbeat of cloud announcements from across the company—from providing the industry’s first available fully-managed Data Center-as-a-Service offering, to working alongside VMware and broadening our hyperscale support, to giving customers more flexibility in the way they consume cloud.

Since then, we have seen tremendous momentum where customers across the globe have leveraged Dell Technologies Cloud for their digital transformation. We have spent a lot of time talking to customers about the need for consistent operations and infrastructure across these locations. This remains essential for hybrid cloud success and is a key value proposition of Dell Technologies Cloud.

We believe that cloud is not a destination, it’s an operating model. Customers expect four core capabilities as part of their cloud experiences 1) simplified IT, 2) modern commerce, 3) as-a-service delivery of assets and 4) democratized access to development tools. We are motivated to bring these experiences to our customers from the core to the edge so that they can benefit from the power of the cloud wherever their workloads are running.

Dell Technologies Offers Industry’s Fastest Hybrid Cloud Deployment

Bringing this cloud operating model to workloads, today we’re making it easier for customers to buy, deploy and scale their hybrid clouds. We are introducing a new subscription-based offering for Dell Technologies Cloud (VMware Cloud Foundation on Dell EMC VxRail) that lets you get started with hybrid cloud environments for as low as $70/node per day(1).

But that’s not it. The subscription offering includes support and deployment services so customers can deploy hybrid clouds in as few as 14 days, making this the industry’s FASTEST hybrid cloud deployment(2). And, if customers choose to scale their hybrid cloud, they can do so quickly (in as few as five days(3)) without having to renegotiate terms or extend contracts—they simply just add additional nodes to their existing term.

As far as pricing details, the subscription price includes the hardware, software and services—with support, deployment and asset recovery—making it easy to purchase and consume, with a single point of contact for a simplified support experience.

The subscription is sold through a one- or three-year agreement and is priced on a per node, per month basis. This flexibility is significant because it provides an easy way to get started with hybrid cloud and removes complex purchasing structures that lack transparency and predictability.

The new subscription model is a solution-specific payment option that further expands the Dell Technologies on Demand program. It’s an example of our commitment to provide customers with more choice, flexibility and predictability in how they acquire and consume IT infrastructure.

We’re excited to bring the subscription model to customers—it’s available now, initially only to U.S. based customers. It’s an example of how we’re bringing the cloud operating model to workloads, no matter the location, while also delivering on our commitment to help customers create a simple and powerful hybrid cloud strategy.

(1) Based on a 3-year term with a monthly price of $2025 (USD). Pricing for the subscription is based on configuration of the system. Pricing may vary depending on the number and type of nodes. For details on pricing, consult your account manager.
(2) Customer site survey and configuration workbook must be completed before order is placed.  Excludes orders over 24 nodes, VMware NSX configuration, vRealize (vRA, vRO) components, and some other features. Product availability, holidays and other factors may impact deployment time. US only.
(3) Deploy a single expansion node for an existing rack in as few as 5 days or add an expansion rack in as few as 9 days. Customer site survey and configuration workbook must be completed before order is placed.  Product availability, holidays, and other factors may impact deployment time. US only.
