Accelerate Your Mission at Cloudera Government Forum ’22

As a public sector leader, you don’t need the value of data explained to you. You already understand its importance to your vital missions.

The challenge, rather, lies in locating data, streaming it, enriching it, and serving it, and then running analytics to maximize the value of the data that agencies already haveand the massive amount of new data generated every day from a wide variety of structured and unstructured sources. Simply collecting data isn’t enough anymore: government agencies must harness the value of that data in motion with an effective data strategy and platform.

Data-driven decisions based on rich analytics and predictive insights will deliver defining accomplishments, from the pandemic response to reducing wasted tax dollars. They are also our best weapon against an array of critical challenges in the public sector, including combating global cyber threats, supporting troops on the battlefield, modernizing legacy systems, and helping agencies better address compliance and governance.

The mission-critical necessity of simplifying data acquisition and delivery continues to grow rapidly as evolving opportunitiesand related challengesemerge, including vast new data streams generated by an ever-expanding class of 5G-enabled devices, increasing automation, and the complexity of operating highly distributed enterprise environments.

These and other issues are top of mind for virtually everyone leading and working in government IT todayand they anchor the top-notch agenda we have planned for our Cloudera Government Forum ’22. We’ve built a lineup of experienced government IT leaders and other experts who will lead a compelling agenda of relevant sessions. Highlights include:

  • A panel discussion on data governance featuring Ann Dunkin, CIO of the Department of Energy and Sunil Madhugiri, CTO of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
  • A fireside chat on data streaming and transfer featuring Dominic Cussatt, CIO of the Bureau of Intelligence and Research at the U.S. Department of State and Henry Sowell, VP of Solutions Engineering and Operations at Cloudera.
  • A dedicated keynote address and fireside chat on harnessing zero trust in the multi-cloud world featuring Brian Gattoni, CTO of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency; Gerald Caron, CIO of the Department of Health and Human Services; and Carolyn Duby, Field CTO at Cloudera.
  • Panel discussions on innovative technologies, from AI and machine learning to 5G and edge computing with IT leaders from the Department of Defense.

You’ll hear how these government leaders are leveraging data to solve their pressing problems through effective data movement, security, and governance. It promises to be an illuminating and empowering event.

We’re especially thrilled that this year’s Government Forum will be in person as we continue to move safely into the post-COVID era. This means plenty of opportunities for face-to-face learning and networking with government IT leaders and peers.

Join me, our esteemed guest presenters, and the Cloudera team, on April 19 at the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City. We look forward to seeing you in person! Learn more and register today
