Inspired to Drive Digital Transformation in Retail

We live in a time of unprecedented change, characterized by digital transformation. This presents significant opportunities for retailers to innovate.

It all comes down to the way we interact, which has changed profoundly. This change has altered us as individuals, as well as businesses. Today’s connected customer is a new breed, and businesses must find new and innovative ways to engage that customer.

Retailers are prioritizing their actions to recognize the fundamental shift in consumer shopping desires and patterns. Technology, data, security, agile supply chains, price wars and cost cutting are all forcing retailers to rethink their business forecasts and business models.

Retailers across the globe are choosing Dell Technologies to enhance the customer experience and tap into new opportunities to help streamline the value chain.

The Dell Technologies “Best Place to Work” Award

As a trusted partner to many of the most successful and innovative retailers, Dell Technologies is thrilled to present the “Best Place to Work” award at the Retail Week awards #RWaward19 this Thursday, March 14th in London.

The list of nominees is impressive, and we congratulate them all for what they have achieved: B&Q,  Beaverbrooks, Boden, EE, Hobbycraft, Jardine Motors, Screwfix and T.M. Lewin.

Retail Week “Be Inspired” ambassadors

A balanced workforce is good for business, customers, profitability, and workplace culture.

Retail Week’s “Be Inspired” program promotes gender balance at all levels across retail, and encourages women to fulfill their career aspirations. My colleague Debbie Johnson and I are honored to be “Be Inspired” ambassadors. This is an initiative that aligns perfectly with the diversity and ethical programs supported by Dell Technologies.

Having worked in a male-dominated industry my entire career, I am so grateful for the inspirational female leaders who mentored me and gave me the encouragement I needed to take on the next big challenge with confidence. Being able to share these experiences will inspire others to break down boundaries across industries and normalize the next female generation striving for leadership roles.

As a mother of two daughters, I want to help clear the path for future women to be leaders without question or hesitation. I am fortunate enough to work for a company that is passionate about this and I am thrilled to be part of Be Inspired to share this passion.

Meet me at the Retail Week Awards!

I hope we manage to meet up at the #RWAwards19 this Thursday.
