Abstract/Description

In this skit-based presentation, follow “Skylar” through a day in their life as they face one problem after another. After they navigates each issue, we’ll pause to reflect. How could they make such a quick decision with confidence? Were they just guessing? Is this something I could use in my day? We’ll see the model guiding the decision both while Skylar is solving problems and while we reflect on them. You’ll quickly learn over a dozen models you could use immediately. Quality decisions need to be made without full analysis and include uncertainty. A study by LexisNexis found, “on average, employees spend more than half their workdays receiving and managing information rather than using it to do their jobs!” Avoid analysis paralysis. Help others lead with confidence as well. Keep our handout to remember the models and collect more!
