We are thrilled to announce that Palo Alto Networks will be holding its Public Sector Ignite cybersecurity conference on Thursday, November 18 as part of our Global Ignite event. This premier, virtual conference brings together leading government cybersecurity experts and industry luminaries – General Paul M. Nakasone, United States Army, commander, United States Cyber Command, director, National Security Agency/Chief, Central Security Service; Senator Gary Peters, chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; and Jen Easterly, director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)  to share insights and best practices on how agencies can harden their defenses to be cyber ready.

In 2020, cyberattacks were at an all-time high, and cyberthreats did not shy away from targeting government organizations. According to Forbes, 2020 was a record-breaking year in terms of the number of cyberattacks and the amount of data lost. With the prevalence and magnitude of today’s global cyberthreats, the shift to distributed workforces and new mandates, (like the Executive Order on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity) public sector IT leaders need a clear path to security modernization that can help effectively protect agencies and the citizens they serve.

Following a theme of Building Tomorrow’s Cybersecurity Today, the sessions will highlight four key solution pillars to securing your agency’s mission-critical data, focusing on centralizing network control and enhancing incident response.

We’re excited to have president BJ Jenkins of Palo Alto Networks kicking off the conference. BJ will discuss the cybersecurity trends that are impacting government and how Palo Alto Networks can help customers throughout their digital transformation journey. Our chief product officer, Lee Klarich, will host a technical discussion on our industry-leading cybersecurity solutions, outlining our product vision and FedRAMP roadmap. Mike Abrashoff, former Navy Commander, will be a guest speaker. Mike’s story about organizational transformation and innovative leadership is sure to motivate you along your own challenging journey to build your agency’s cybersecurity strategy.

You won’t want to miss the technical breakouts, which will cover Zero Trust, ransomware, secure cloud and secure remote work access. Registration for Public Sector Ignite is now open and attendance is free to government employees. Register today!
