What is your role? Describe a typical day in the life.

As part of the Talent Development team, there is a ton of variety in my work, and much of it is project-based work. My day is a really nice mix of virtual collaboration and individualized work where I am strategizing and developing a program or process.

How does your role support Perficient, and what impact do you hope to make?

Talent Development has such an important role within an organization. I have the opportunity to create programs and initiatives that support the colleague experience from start to finish, ensuring that they are learning, growing, and maximizing their contribution. The impact I hope to make is two-fold: I strive to create scalable and dynamic programs that support organizational strategy and growth while helping colleagues feel empowered and valued.

Why did you choose Perficient?

I chose Perficient because I felt valued as a person throughout the interview process. It didn’t take me long to pick up on the number of incredible, intelligent, and welcoming colleagues at Perficient! I was also excited by the opportunities that existed to create and build initiatives from the ground up.

What are your proudest accomplishments, personally and professionally? Any milestone moments at Perficient?

In 2020, I began my Master’s in Organization Development (yes, right in the midst of a global pandemic). In 2021, I joined Perficient. Then, in April 2023, I graduated! It has been a whirlwind of balancing school, work, and being a mom of three. I am incredibly grateful for what I have learned throughout the process and what I can now apply to my life and work.

How have you grown your career with Perficient?

When I joined Perficient, I transitioned from a human resources generalist role to talent development. I am grateful that Perficient gave me a shot to try something new by recognizing the transferrable skills and passion I brought along with me. I am also constantly taking on new responsibilities within my role. While I am sometimes scared to do new things at work, I always say yes as I know that I have to get out of my comfort zone to grow!

Whether big or small, how do you make a difference for our clients, colleagues, communities, or teams?

I make a difference for our colleagues in supporting various aspects of the employee experience, whether that is during their onboarding experience, performance conversations, or their opportunity to share feedback on their experience. Ultimately, when colleagues are engaged, challenged, and supported, this makes a difference for our clients and Perficient as a whole.

If you had to define yourself using one Perficient value, which would it be and why?

Integrity. It’s always been a value for me, and I was the kind of kid who would tell on myself. As a professional, I am very conscious of the ethics of situations and always seek to do the right thing. I believe this allows people to place a deep sense of trust in me. I view follow-through as one of the most important aspects of integrity. If I say I am going to do something, you can rest assured that I will make it happen.

What’s something surprising people might not know about you or your background?Grand Canyon

I was born and raised in the Philippines, so I’m Filipino at heart. I spent some time in Indonesia during my childhood, and I am married to a Korean. As I mentioned earlier, I attended a Master’s program for Organizational Development and have since graduated. The program required international trips, and I was able to travel to France, Costa Rica, and Japan! Having the opportunity to travel to and consult in these locations around the world has helped me better understand my work in a global context.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

  • Family time
  • Cooking: Thai, Korean, Japanese, and American (I love it all and enjoy attempting new dishes!)
  • Camping
  • Hanging out at the beach
  • Hiking
