AZURE / Cloud/ AD

Spiceworks

Hi Guys Good morning, I'm old school, at my company most of our infrastructure is built on site ( Server, Backup libraries,etc.). We have moved lately to use Office 365 and our local AD is Synced so we get SSO and password replication of password. I'm looking into the cloud world, trying to understand how new companies work. Is there such a thing as having AD only in the cloud? no DC Servers in the company? if yes how does it work?file file permissions, etc.

Exchange 365 shared calendar and shared contacts

Spiceworks

Hi there, Recently migrated a client from godaddy to Exchange 365. They have a few things they now want done. They want to take their shared calendar that they have in gmail (yes gmail) and move that to a mailbox on Exchange 365 and share out that way. The kicker is that they want to colors to come across as well. With the gmail calendar everyone is assigned a color, but with office 365 there is no way to color code calendar items and have them sync across the board for everyone.

Time Sync client domain on Azure

Spiceworks

Hello, I have a problem with the time sync on a client domain on Azure. I have a single domain controller in a specific subnet of a virtual network. In the same virtual network I have a secondary subnet and a client of this domain controller is in that subnet. What is the right procedure to keep the client in sync with the time of the DC? I've tried to force with the GPO to not sync with the Azure host but it keeps to not sync time with DC. I have no idea where I need to start. Thank you
