First-Ever Attack Leveraging Kubernetes RBAC to Backdoor Clusters

We have recently discovered the first-ever evidence that attackers are exploiting Kubernetes (K8s) Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in the wild to create backdoors. The attackers also deployed DaemonSets to take over and hijack resources of the K8s clusters they attack. A couple of weeks ago I watched a fascinating Zoom call hosted by Xu Hao , Thoughtworks's Head of Technology in China. He showed an example of how he uses ChatGPT to help him code in a self-testing style. His initial prompt primes the LLM with an implementation strategy (chain of thought prompting). His prompt also asks for an implementation plan rather than code (general knowledge prompting).

Fintech startup Clear Street raises $270M at a $2B valuation

Clear Street , which says it is building “modern infrastructure” for capital markets, has raised $270 million in the second tranche of a Series B funding round at a $2 billion valuation. Growth equity firm Prysm Capital led the financing, which brings the round total to $435 million. New York-based Clear Street raised the first tranche of the round in May of 2022 at a $1.7 billion valuation.
