One of Datavail’s customers was running EBS R12.2, integrated with SOA applications. OSB reporting data was a particularly large challenge.

The Solution
Datavail helped to provide an optimal purge process for OSB reporting tables.

This helped the Admin and OSB servers scan less data during startup and enabled faster start/shutdown. Overall, it has kept the SOA database size in control.

Memory Issues

The Problem
The customer had poor memory configuration for the Node manager and Admin Server.

The Solution
Datavail’s team worked with their IT department to find the optimal configuration to avoid out-of-memory issues in WebLogic.

The EM console now works faster with the new memory configuration.

Shrinking LOB Data for SOA

The Problem
Another customer had their LOB associated with SOA services they had outgrown.

The Solution
Datavail assessed the situation and provided a process to shrink LOBs via secure files. We then helped to set up a monthly process to continually shrink outgrown SOA LOBS.

Upgrade WebLogic Component of EBS R12.2

The Problem
Several customers had issues where AD-TXK components were upgraded while running an old version of WebLogic. This created issues during patching and ETCC runs, creating memory and performance issues for all managed servers.

The Solution
Datavail prepped their systems and completed a WebLogic upgrade to the latest version. In addition, we set up a process to check ETCC patches at least every quarter and apply them across all components.
