Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is the global standard for information security that sets more than 100 requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS).
With these certifications, customers can be assured that Planbox has implemented the necessary systems and processes for the ongoing protection of their information. Planbox’s compliance with ISO 27001:2013 guarantees the use of robust data security controls and adherence to information security best practices that ensure the stringent safeguarding of customer assets. In addition to ISO 27001:2013, Planbox also received certification for the following standards:
- ISO/IEC 27017:2015 – The code of practice for information security controls based on ISO/IEC 27002 for cloud services. ISO 27017 focuses on protecting information in the cloud and reducing the risk of security problems by providing additional security controls specified in ISO/IEC:27002.
- ISO/IEC 27018:2014 – The code of practice for protection of personally identifiable information (PII) in clouds acting as PII processors. ISO 27018 focuses on protecting personal data in the cloud, establishing security controls and guidelines in accordance with the privacy principles in ISO/IEC 29100 for a cloud computing environment.

- Compliance with SOC 2 Type II Security, Availability & Confidentiality since 2018.
- Cyber Essentials Certification, a UK government information assurance scheme operated by the National Cyber Security Centre certifying that Planbox’s policies, procedures and security measures adhere to government-endorsed standards.
- CSA STAR Level 1 Registration, the industry’s most powerful program for security assurance in the cloud from Cloud Security Alliance.
