Planbox is conducting an innovative survey aligned with the ISO 56002 Guidance Standard in partnership with Deloitte, ISPIM, IAOIP, The Conference Board, Solaris Strategies, and the Future-Fit think tank.

Wilmington, Delaware — Planbox, the pioneering agile innovation management platform, announced the launch of its 2023 State of Corporate Innovation Survey. This marks the 7th edition of the annual survey, which aims to provide insights into the innovation practices of large organizations and their impact on business outcomes.

Notably, this year’s edition is a significant departure from previous surveys. Developed from the ground up, the 2023 State of Corporate Innovation Survey is aligned with the ISO 56002 Guidance Standard for Innovation Management Systems—a novel approach that sets it apart from traditional industry surveys, making it a first-of-its-kind initiative providing a unique opportunity for innovation management practitioners to assess and enhance their approaches by comparing them with internationally recognized standards.

“Aligning this survey with a globally recognized standard represents a significant step forward in providing innovation leaders with valuable insights into best practices that help to establish a successful innovation management system. Ultimately, this will enable organizations to benchmark their innovation approaches against ISO 56002 guidelines, and identify areas for improvement, and develop a structured and scalable approach to innovation management,” said  Maximillian Wessman, Senior Manager, Innovation Strategy at Deloitte.

This year, Planbox is conducting its survey in partnership with leading organizations spanning the globe, including:

The survey will be open until September 30th, 2023. After the deadline, the collected data will be analyzed and synthesized into a comprehensive report, which will be made available to participants through Planbox and its trusted partners in fall of 2023.

Additionally, this survey serves as an excellent starting point for organizations who are gearing up for the upcoming ISO 56001 Requirement Standard, which is set to be released in 2024. This emerging standard is significant as it will enable organizations to certify their innovation management systems for the first time.

“We believe that this year’s survey will be an essential resource for innovation leaders and change agents seeking to navigate the ever-changing innovation landscape. Basing our survey on ISO 56002 marks an exciting milestone for the industry, providing practitioners with the valuable opportunity to gain a more holistic understanding of their innovation efforts and prepare them for ISO 56001 compliance for a sustained competitive advantage,” said Ludwig Melik, CEO of Planbox.
