Global fintech funding totaled $15 billion in the first quarter of this year, growing 55% from the fourth quarter, according to CB Insights’ latest State of Fintech report. While this generally may seem like a win, it’s important to note a few things. First, 2020 and 2021 were unique years where investment in fintech broke records. By comparison, fintech funding amounted to $75.2 billion in all of 2022 , down 46% compared with a staggering $131.5 billion raised in 2021.

No-code startup Softr, which allows its customers to build apps from their existing data, announced Tuesday that it has added Google Sheets to its integration list. Previously, Softr focused on Airtable databases. Its move to support data from Google’s spreadsheet product likely expands its potential customer pool. Electric and autonomous trucking company Einride is expanding to the U.K., representing the latest in a line of European market expansions.
