Tandem was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in two categories in The 21st Annual American Business Awards®. Within the App & Mobile Website awards categories, Tandem was honored in Best User Experience and Business/Government.
The awards recognize Tandem’s work to modernize the U.S. Department of Defense’s legacy application MIRS, or the MEPCOM (Military Entrance Processing Command) Integrated Resource System. Used to track military applicants during their enlistment process, MIRS had been in place for 25+ years. Over a three-year period, Tandem’s software consultants completely reimagined the system to create a modern, user-friendly platform that helps field advisors process applicants through to the military faster than ever before.
The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program, honoring organizations of all sizes and industries. 2023 saw more than 3,700 nominations, so Tandem is honored to be recognized alongside other companies transforming applications to make customers’ lives easier.
More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. Speaking to Tandem’s nomination, one judge remarked, “This is a comprehensive solution to solve the military enlistment problem […] the design and UX look clean, simple, and smooth. The data showed that it has already been creating a real impact — saving lots of time and money for the military.”
