Abstract/Description

In the years since the Agile Manifesto was written, there have been numerous Frameworks and other tools that have been created to support companies who are attempting to leverage Agile mindset and methodologies to provide value to customers. There is great value in these tools, but they are not one-size-fits-all. One of the most common anti-patterns in the pursuit of Agility is trying to hold firmly to a set of rules someone else created with the belief that doing so will solve all your team’s unique problems. This talk will help Agile practitioners understand why it is not only important to customize the frameworks and other tools you use, but why it is essential to do so. We will explore how to creatively consider alternative solutions that are custom fit for your team’s particular need, yet still hold to the Agile mindset. Additionally we will look at some real-world examples of what this looks like with the intent to unlock the power of collaborative creativity in delivering custom solutions for our Agile teams and organizations.
