TechCrunch+ roundup: SaaS success stats, leveraging ad tech chaos, 2022 layoff trends

According to a report by Capchase comparing more than 400 SaaS startups to unicorns that reached the public markets in the last two years, the top performers “are handily beating the ‘Rule of 40,'” reports Kyle Wiggers. According to its findings, SaaS founders should target at least 80% and aim to surpass 110%.

Observability startup Better Stack lands $18.6M in new cash

The observability market has matured in recent years with the growth of vendors like Datadog , New Relic , PagerDuty and the aforementioned Splunk. Masar, who serves as Better Stack’s CEO, said that the funding will be put toward hiring with the goal of expanding the team from 14 to about 30 people by the end of the year.

Andela begins global expansion in 37 countries months after going remote across Africa
