Without a huge step forward in natural language understanding, and in the ability to reason about the history of human thought, why would anyone expect an AI system to do more than parrot back bad ethical advice that it finds in bulk on the web?

As well as using fewer natural resources, the developed world is generating less pollution. Other developed countries have their equivalents.
