Eliot Horowitz then joined DoubleClick Research and Development division as a software engineer after his college. Both realized they were solving horizontal scalability problems again.

Looking back to my initial days as a software engineer, I realize most of these experiences would have been a lot different if I had refactored first. Kent Beck (@KentBeck) September 25, 2012. Or maybe a small bug took you a couple of weeks to figure out, then a one-line change to fix and an eight-line comment to explain?
