Here’s a problem that I used to give to candidates. I stopped using it seriously a long time ago since I don’t believe in puzzles, but I think it’s kind of fun. Let’s say you have a function that simulates a random coin flip. It returns “H” or “T”. This is the only random generator available. How can write a new function that simulates a random dice roll (1…6)?

The first hotel to be completely run by robots opened Friday, July 17th in Japan. Guests will rarely see humans and they will interact primarily with robots. The front desk is staffed by a female android. The bellhop is a mechanical velociraptor. Luggage is moved to rooms by a nice little autobot. Luggage can also be stored by an automated robot arm.

Google’s new cloud code platform does not appear to be taking on GitHub head on. Instead, Cloud Source Repositories (CSR) will allow users to connect to repositories hosted on GitHub or Bitbucket.
