PHP sinks in Tiobe language popularity index

PHP, long a popular server-side scripting language for web development , has dropped to its lowest position ever in the monthly Tiobe index of programming language popularity, ranking 17th in the April 2024 edition of the index. PHP even reached the top 3 spot in the index, ranking third several times between 2006 and 2010.

VSCode + WSL makes Windows awesome for web development

Windows actually got good for web developers. That $3,200 M3 Max MacBook can in fact be beat by a $2,349 Dell XPS in the tests that are likely to matter to most web developers. I suspect both are pretty idiosyncratic reasons, which almost certainly won’t apply to the broad masses of web developers. I’m kinda shocked.
